Snowed in

We had a blizzard that came through Sunday night/Monday morning that dumped over a foot of snow on us. We lost power for awhile and it took a few days before we could even get out of the driveway with Travis' truck. Luckily Travis got home off of nights on Monday morning so he didn't have to stay out at the mine for a few days until the roads opened up. They even had to shut down the mine for a few days. We all just stayed home and watched movies.

6 weeks old

Today Makayla is 6 weeks old. I can't believe it. It has gone by so fast! She is growing really fast, much faster than Mason did. The 0-3 months size is getting to tight on her already! Unfortunately, in another week or two I'll be going back to work. I like being home with the kids, but I also like working and making my own money, (which mostly goes to buying groceries and making my car payment.) Here's a few more pics.

My poor little boy has hives! Sunday night I was changing him to get him ready for bed and I noticed tons of red spots all over him, and he was scratching like crazy, making himself bled. We thought for awhile it was chicken pox, but he hadn't been exposed to anyone with chicken pox. So Travis took him to the doctor Monday and he said he had an allergic reaction to something and that they were hives. They looked terrible for awhile, some would go away and then new ones would pop up in different spots. Yesterday he had them all over his face and one eye was swollen and red. The only thing I can think of what caused it is Sunday morning I gave him oatmeal with strawberries in it, and I've been hearing that a lot of people are allergic to strawberries. Don't know how we will find out for sure, other than give him strawberries again and see what happens. Don't know if I want to do that. They look a lot better today, so hopefully its over and done with.

Getting started

So, for months now I've been checking out other peoples blogs and loving them, so I'm going to give it a shot.
Travis and I have been married since August 2004. In November of 2006 we were blesses with our little boy, Mason. In February of 2009, we had our little girl, Makayla.
As soon as I figure out how to get pictures posted, I'll post some and get this thing going!
