Fall/pumpkins

This past weekend we were able to go to Riverton to visit family and friends. Of course we had to go to the pumpkin patch. It was so windy that Travis stayed in the car with Makayla, and the rest of us went to pick out pumpkins. Mason had a great time, of course.

It's been awhile

We have had a busy few months. I just haven't made the time to post much. Makayla started crawling in September, she is now almost 9 months old, I can't believe it. Mason's 3rd birthday will be here on Sunday, I can't believe that either! Time is going to fast. This year we grew a lot of awesome tomatoes. We had peas and lettuce in June. Carrots and yellow squash did good in Aug/Sep. Our corn was mostly eaten by grasshoppers, we did eat about 3 ears, they didn't grow very big, but were pretty good.

At Makayla's 6 month check up she weighed 17 pounds and was 27 1/2 inches long. She is sitting up by herself now and scooting everywhere.

Keeping busy

She had a black eye in this picture, don't think you can see it. Mason threw a toy at her.

At the park.

He was kissing her belly and making her laugh.

Her first bite of cereal. She didn't know what to think at first.

It seems like this summer is just flying by! Another month has gone by and I haven't posted much. Maybe it's because not much exciting things go on here, just normal, everyday life. We have gone to the park a lot for Mason to play. Also to the carnival for rides and the fair. And Mason really enjoyed the fireworks for the Fourth. Makayla is now 6 months old. We go in Wednesday for her check-up. She will be crawling very soon, I think. She gets up on her knees and hands, just hasn't taken off yet. She's been on cereal and baby food for two months now, she likes that.Thats been it so far this summer, who knows if we will get out fishing or camping again this year. Travis is, of course, ready for hunting season.

Meadowlark lake

Last week we headed up to Meadowlark lake to do some fishing and have a picnic. We had a lot of fun, caught a lot of fish and I got fried, of course. My main goal was keeping the kids from getting sunburned, but I just didn't keep up with the sunscreen on myself. Mason loved fishing and chasing the chipmunks around that were hanging around were we ate lunch.

Makayla was such a happy baby that day.

Mason and daddy with all the fish we caught. I think we had 12, a mix of rainbow and other species of trout.

Mason kissing one of the fish. Goofy boy!

Daddy and Mason reeling one in.

Makayla and her sunbonnet. (Leah, I think that bonnet was in with the clothes you sent over from Alauna.)

Kayla's getting big!

Last week Makayla had her 4-month check-up and shots. She weighed in at 15 pounds, 2 ounces- in the 76 percentile and she was 26 inches tall, which is the 95 percentile.
